Launch of simple device to build leg strength in the elderly – reducing frailty and preventing falls
Falls cost the NHS over £2.3 billion annually, causing numerous hospital admissions and loss of independence among the elderly. The “Shuffler,” a new exercise device, aims to reduce falls by enhancing mobility and strength. Developed by Lee Trainor and Dr. Jim Kelly, it promotes safe leg movement, particularly for stroke patients and hospital recuperation.
