Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) is thrilled to share that the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme has been shortlisted for the 2026 HSJ Awards!

Nominated in the category for ‘Best Educational Programme for the NHS’, we are delighted to be recognised once again, having previously won this award in 2024, alongside such esteemed organisations dedicated to educating the workforce.

This year, the HSJ Partnership Awards received an exceptional range of entries across 24 categories, with 160 projects making it onto the final shortlist. The high quality and range of applications once again reflect the impressive levels of innovation, collaboration, and impact being delivered across the UK’s healthcare system.

The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme is an NHS initiative, delivered by Anglia Ruskin University. Since its launch in 2016, it has been a pioneering force, offering a free entrepreneurial workforce development programme aimed at NHS staff and healthcare professionals. With support from over 40 industry leading partners, as well as 300 dedicated mentors, the CEP has created a diverse and inclusive community to help nurture the next generation of healthcare innovators. To date, the programme has proudly supported over 1,500 innovators.

Polly Sullivan, Programme Lead, Anglia Ruskin University, “Entering our tenth year, the Clinical Entrepreneur Programme stands as a testament to what collaboration and innovation can achieve. I’m proud of the partnerships we’ve created, the community we’ve grown, and most importantly, the transformation of our Clinical Entrepreneurs.
