Tell us about your innovation
YouDiagnose is tackling some of the most pressing challenges currently facing the NHS. With rising demand for healthcare services, long waiting times, delayed treatments, and increasing patient dissatisfaction, the system is under significant strain. These issues are further compounded by limited resources and tight budgetary constraints.
Our AI-powered Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) is designed to help healthcare organisations manage capacity pressures more effectively, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver timely, high-quality patient care. By improving resource utilisation and supporting faster, more accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable and patient-centred NHS.
Based in London, YouDiagnose is a system redesign start-up focused on cost-efficient and frugal innovation. Our flagship product, the YD-CDSS, integrates artificial intelligence and intelligent automation to expand system capacity and support clinical decision-making. It collects patient information through multiple channels—including chat, structured questionnaires, and Alexa-style voice interactions—and uses advanced prediction technology to recommend appropriate management pathways.
The YouDiagnose-Clinical Decision Support System is built on a general-purpose, pre-trained AI engine and has been validated through clinical, economic, and sustainability impact studies. It is known for its adaptability, rapid development cycle, and seamless integration with diverse data sources. With an impressive accuracy rate of 82.8% compared to other automated triage systems, it supports a smarter, greener, and more resilient future for healthcare.
How do you hope the programme can support and your goals for the next year?
I found out about the programme through word of mouth and was immediately drawn to its potential to support innovative healthcare ventures like ours. We’re particularly hopeful that the programme can offer valuable mentoring to help us refine our strategy and scale our impact. One of our key goals for the coming year is to secure £2 million in funding, which will enable us to accelerate development, expand our reach, and deepen our collaboration with NHS partners to deliver smarter, more sustainable healthcare solutions.
Why do you think innovation in healthcare is important.
It enhances healthcare by making it safer, more affordable, and environmentally friendly.
