Why did you apply to the programme and what are you looking forward to?
My manager sent me details about the programme. I was encouraged by my colleagues and I was intrigued and excited about what I could learn and achieve so I applied!
I am most looking forward to connecting with like-minded individuals, as well as meeting people who challenge my mental models, ideas and worldviews, thus forging long-lasting professional and personal relationships.
Tell us about your innovation
My innovative idea is a smart phone app for chronic cough. It would allow service users to receive instant therapeutic support and gain insights into their coughing habits.
With our service users the psychoeducational counselling is pertinent, any behavior change requires motivation to follow the treatment plan.
I am deeply passionate about achieving positive outcomes and ultimately empowering patients to take ownership of their health. The idea has developed from my clinical practice.
What motivates you?
My patients and clinical practice. My passion to improve patient quality of life and see people happy!
What are your ambitions for the next year?
To increase my entrepreneurial knowledge and build and learn to work towards achieving my goal of developing an app.
