“Running a national charity that helps vulnerable people with heart failure is the most fulfilling role I have ever undertaken. I have had many trappings in life but this leadership role with the Pumping Marvellous Foundation means I never have second thoughts of getting out of bed in the morning. It is not a career for me and for some that’s difficult to comprehend. I will get personal fulfilment in what I choose to do.”
